The tiles vs. text directory should work well on all platforms.

As an old guy, I know changes can be frightening, but the new interface looks fine to me.

If there are substantive changes to how the messages are presented and threaded, that will be of more concern to all of us, I think.

Oh no ... as hopes fade that this is some kind of sick joke, the realisation comes that's it's all going to be about cartoons, flicky-flashy graphics that this time you maybe won't be able to get away from at all, the way you can partially get away from the stuff now using the 'classic version' link in upper right ... which still doesn't work very well by the way, it only stops the stupid cartoons for an hour or so sometimes ... the little clickable loudspeaker icon does a bit better, stops the irritating noises for probably double that, just guessing ... it's been years, and that stuff has never been fixed, could have been made optional on a person's bio i expect, from day one, but noooo ....

... so far from the original Dryer concept of bulletin board, simple clean useful hyperlinked text ... very disappointing, it's like seeing an old friend waste away
