This repeated asking for someone else's opinion instead of doing research is really masturbatory. Wish there were a forum operative to erase your messages.
Nancy Z repeated her "buy" rating on this company, saying she would hereafter give updates in her "Undiscovered Stocks" newsletter. She believes the price will go to $40, though gave no time frame.
If the wise Ms. Z likes it, and if the price is below the level of her recommendation, and if the last numbers were good.... I suggest you read up on the stock, give us information, and (probably) add to your stash.
I'd love to hear a substantive conversation about this stock (the business, not the price). Dear reader, can you help? |

If you figure it out (how to stop the cyclic question), please let me know. This is the only site where my reviewing comments results in the repeating of the (my) same question.
Steve,
who is as perturbed as y'all about the repetition |

Ben--
I have no light to shed on the movement of the stock price.
Instead, I have an "offer." I'll be attending the stockholders' meeting on September 19, 1997.
What should I ask, if there is such an opportunity?
It seems one obvious issue is the need for the company to diversify its customer base, but what else?
Please post your suggestions soon so I can "study up" to prepare.
Regards,
Marsha

Marsha, have you ever looked in EDGAR, in the 13G submittals, and seen how much of Sigmatron the TANG family controls?...It's weird...I have been in Sigmatron for about 9 months...got in at 18, watched it go to 22, and then with Jeff Vaniks pull out, have watched in horror...Nice to see it approaching 18 again, but take a look in the EDGAR database! |

Yep--that Tang group holds 16.7% of the stock. Furthermore, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Franklin Sove, is a VP at Tang Industries.
I don't know enough about boards to evaluate the situation. Sove has only 1,000 shares on his own.

They're in Las Vegas. Tang Industries is "a privately held company involved in the manufacturing and distributing of industrial products," according to the SGMA annual report.
I'm off for two weeks now. More talk when I get back. Marsha |

Marsha, have fun at the stock holders mtg tommorrow..I'd sure like to hear why 2nd qtr sales & profits were so down...I worry here (in Seattle), when I see Nighthawk carbon dioxide units on sale in the local Target store flyer...wonder if there is too much inventory. It would be nice if NBC's Dateline or 60 Minutes would do another spiel on how EVERY house should have one! |
