Over half the total units shipped last year in the video games business were value-priced i.e. republished games and previously played games. True the dollar value was only 27% but it still accounted for some $1.3 billion in revenues.

Rather than going to Hawaii, you can buy previously played or republished on Amazon. I believe the portal is that of CDPlus. Prices vary from as low as $5 to as much as $25.

PD,

I don't pirate games,as far as buying value and republished
games, that's not the point. The point is i can buy PSX
new releases before they are even on store shelfs for 5
bucks. I can currently download games that aren't even due
to be released for a couple of weeks, i don't do that
either.

I don't need to go to Hawaii to buy any pirated games either, there's many internet sites that offer all the
games, mod chips, you could ever want. I'm going to
Hawaii for a family vacation in the condo, and i won't
be playing games:-)

I agree completely. We just got screwed. This is an unbelievable sell out.

I can't believe that no one would make a better offer than this.

Piece of crap stock, I'm dumping my remaining shares tomorrow. If they are doing fancy convertible financing, I don't want to be around when the hedgies shove this one into the ground.

I'm selling very shortly myself. Do you have a limit price?

No, but it could go below 1. It does not mean it will, but after reading the details of the sale, it does not sound good for this stock.

Well I know how you feel. I took my screwing at the hands of the most inept management team outside of Brian Fargo and just hang around the boards to talk about their products (which aren't many). But you are right, this is one of the bigger sellouts I have seen in a long time.

Yeah no joke. As its going for 135 million you can be sure you won't be seeing much of it.

I've started a new thread where we can talk about the interactive entertainment sector as a whole:

Subject 32355

See you there.

Wow, I'm just about at sea level with my second GTIS purchase. I wonder how long we'll have to wait to break even with my first purchase? <gg>

I didn't see Humongous mentioned in the earnings release?
