This is a tough call, because Nokia didn't say how much they were going to miss projections by. Remember, even at current prices the stock is way above what it was a few years ago. I don't know the company, but if I was interested I would wait until the next quarter earnings are out (I don't know when that is).

I bought 2000 NOKIA this week in the 32.5 range. Paine Webber
is pounding the table on this one, it trades at 10x 1996 EPS,
it trades at a significant discount to its peers Motorola and
Ericcson, and it has superior technology on the digital wireless
side, and is a market leader in Europe, solid number 2 in US behind
Motorola. let me know if you want detailed info, i have 4 faxes
from Paine Webber this week alone on Nokia. regards.

I would like to receive your faxes on Nokia. I am interested in
investing in them, but do not know if the current drop in
Motorola would be better. 517-224-8952

Howdy,

If it's not too late and you're not too disgusted with receiving requests for your faxes, please include me at FAX # 908-221-8056. I'm a new owner of Nokia and a tad nervous as to whether they will really meet the sales projections that people are talking about. Other players are catching up technically.

Press Release from 1/15 looks quite important.
nokia.com
Nokia is no longer the only kid on the block w/a large display on their phone--an immediate selling point in the past that, although simple, gave their pbones immediate advantage in any comparison to competitor's. This new power supply option seems to be a "real" advantage also, not marketing fluff. Can I smell 70s before earnings announcement in February?
