Did you do anything with the options, Kid? Of course, this is hindsight, but the best play probably was a straddle short-term (less premiums). Bet on MSTR both ways. You don't know which way it will move, only that there is a high degree of certainty that it WILL move. You lose small on one side, win big on the other. Take your profit and see if the pendulum swings the other way. It often does. Win both bets.
You think it will go below $10 in the next 6 months? Want to revise that opinion? Turs said two to four months to find a bottom. Make that one day! Friday's close is 105% above Tuesday's bottom.
Out of curiosity, what is your current opinion of MSTR? |

Did you look up that Reed's profile? Simply one business solicitation after another. I'm pleased that SI deleted his posting on the MSTR board, but SI is way behind the ball re Reed's February postings on other threads. For my money, it's a complete violation of SI's Terms of Service. |

This thing is like radioactive waste, it will be untouchable by the fund community after their debacle.
Why do you use the future tense? The future started Tuesday afternoon. More than 30 million shares later, MSTR is trading 100+% above Tuesday's $63 low.
One thing the fund community knows for sure is the meaning of the word "oversold".
A return to double digits is possible as an ordinary pullback in an 'up' trend. What we had had, when it is all said and done, is a sharp vertical offset on a strong upward trend that remains a strong upward trend. |

coach, congrats on the MSTR short.
I am covering some of my short shares here. Will still keep a short position down to low 90s.
Thanks to the momentum longs who let me average up from the 110s to the 130s, I was just initially looking for a single, but ended up with a triple.

Shorted at 133. Covered some yesterday and most today in the 90's
I expect a short sqeeze soon, so I believe the safest play now is the long side as it should bounce up to 110 120 or higher soon.
The drop today IMO was technically overdone so we are oversold at this point with a 44 point drop from 142 to 98.
Good Luck,

I cashed in my puts yesterday since it's hard to say which way this one will bounce in days to come. Good call by those who mentioned shorting the spike.
Thanks. |
