I got the annual report last week. It was irritating to see the
Mexican property venture given first priority in the discussion
section--with the Mac project playing second fiddle. A small detail,
but telling in my opinion.

Hi John,
I noticed a fair amount of insider buying of the common stock in the market. Some 200,000 shares between 11/17 and 12/24.
I will pull it of the BCSC and post it here in a couple of minutes.
Dan

Thanks Dan. Got my eye on this one, the activity might mean something...or nothing. Time will tell.
What do you think of the Mexican mine tailings? I've seen old tailings used as "promo fodder" by other companies in the past and so am automatically dubious. Seems they got into this real cheap, but yet it's supposed to be real valuable. Needless to say I haven't warmed up to that venture yet--show me.
But the Mac deposit I still like and hope to be hearing from soon.
John

Volume and price up today. Are we ready to start moving?? It is about time for some MAC news to go with the Mexican news. Anyone talking to the company?

Hi Dave
New to SI but a long time SKN holder. Hopefully we are in for better
times - it would be nice if it happened before the rest of the hair on
my head fell out in the shower! I've given up waiting to see the royalties for the "Firelight II Barbecue come flowing into our
treasury! On a serious note, what do you think of John Kaiser's
comment regarding company dilution with it's involvement in the Mexican J.V. He says sell - I believe he has a bone to pick with the
way Mr. Armstrong has handled other business transactions. Contrary to
this thinking is Yorkton's position on Sand River Resources ( they
said buy at $0.2 - now at ~ $.6) Having a partnership with SRIV could
be a real plus considering that their VP, Dale Corman, is also the CEO
of Western Copper ( San Nicolas Discovery,Mexico) The fact that Mr Armstrong has been scooping up most of the low priced shares the last
while leads me to believe there still is good potential. But how long
are we going to have to wait!
Good day FSR

Hi FSR,

I have had a position in SKN for over a year now. I did average down and I could get out even now - but I plan to give them until summer to see what happens. I haven't been following them closely - but I did see that Armstrong was buying. Another friend that I have in Canada has also told me that they are backed now buy some very influential people and he told me to hold on a while so that's what I will do.

Warrants, more dilution... news release a few weeks ago:

The Brokered Private Placement of 900,000 Special Warrants at a price of $0.35 per Special Warrant announced on November 3, 1997, has now been completed. The $315,000 (net $298,000) proceeds of the private placement will be applied to fund due diligence on mineral concession, located in Chihuahua State Mexico, which the Company has agreed to acquire in a joint venture with Sand River Resources Ltd., and for General Corporate purposes. ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD

They also filed a notice that an employee has been given an option to buy 50,000 shares at .50, good for several years.

Wonder if they will ever mention the MAC again (remember the billion dollar Mac!), or are we just pushing the Chihuahuas these days?

Woof woof.

John
