What would you think of them buying out a non-lethal laser company and combining the technologies onto the same "gun"? LNGT has some interesting non-lethal tech and there may be others out there better at long range. Could be quite a combo. |

To: CrazyTrain who wrote (2046) | 1/14/2010 7:27:55 PM | From: deeno | | | I assume this was directed at me.
"If the LRAD is all they need, then why are they not selling like hot cakes to military and law enforcement?"
and what does that have to do with Lasers? how would lasers make them better? Until youve experianced it first hand you dont realize the immeanse power of this thing. That said, im not adverse to lasers, just expain why you think it would be more effective.
As a side note, Woody does not need another "project" to work on, he needs to focus on selling what he does have (or keep employed people that can focus). One of this companies biggist problems is a lack of direction. |

To: deeno who wrote (2047) | 1/14/2010 7:49:52 PM | From: CrazyTrain | | | I have not experienced the LRAD and I am probably being too simplistic but my reasoning is that if it works and it is all that is needed for vehicle deterrent, then the military would need one at every outpost? I know they have had some small orders and they have had time to use it but no really big or long-term orders? The new name implies the "focus" change you refer and something needs to change as this stock has been on a down turn since 2005. Non-Lethal crowd control is huge market and if LRAD is the best, then it should be selling. BTW I do own a small amount of stock and I'm trying to decide if I should average down or take a small loss. |

Its an answer but certianly not the only answer and definatly not the cheapest. Still no idea what that has to do with adding lasers.
"I know they have had some small orders and they have had time to use it but no really big or long-term orders? "
nope, mostly testing from what i can see. Pretty specific situations and applications. nothing general that i know of.
"The new name implies the "focus" change you refer and something needs to change as this stock has been on a down turn since 2005."
Yes it would indicate that most of the commerical ideas for using the system have failed. Pretty disappointing.
"Non-Lethal crowd control is huge market and if LRAD is the best, then it should be selling."
Best? I doubt it. Way to big. cumbersome.
"BTW I do own a small amount of stock and I'm trying to decide if I should average down or take a small loss."
Its an incredibly neat idea, works, has some uses. My reservations are two;
1. managment is poor and transient. Woody being the worst
2. successful applications in any general niche or industry have not been forthcoming.
on the plus side
Woody is a Genius.
you want to invest in a neat gadget that may be a home run someday. keep it.
you beleive managment is imperative to a good company. sell it. |

To: deeno who wrote (2049) | 1/15/2010 1:57:35 PM | From: CrazyTrain | | | Thanks for your detailed response. I decided to sell and take the small loss. I was looking at a laser deterrent company and thought ATCO could offer more non-lethal options as a package deal if that is the new focus. I will keep an eye on ATCO and may buy later. |
