I just curious what you know about Mario Vecchi. By the way I like your investment style animation on your profile.

Don't know much more then what was in the press releases. As for the animation, I'm capitalizing on the Pokemon craze ;-) Anyone that's invested for some time stumbles ever so often!

Before joining AOL, Mario was senior VP and Chief Technical Officer of Time-Warner's Road Runner.
Dr. Vecchi has more than 20 years experience in developing and deploying new technologies, including co-founding Road Runner, Time-Warner's pioneering cable modem online service. Dr. Vecchi served as the technical leader of Road Runner from its initial concept in 1994, through a market trial in 1995, to its commercial deployment in 12 cities by 1998. Since 1996, Dr. Vecchi served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of the Road Runner Group. Dr. Vecchi built Road Runner's engineering and tech ops organization from the ground up, defined the network, systems and service architecture and developed vendors for the products, integration, deployment and support of the Road Runner rollouts.
From 1994 to 1996, Dr. Vecchi served as Vice President, Network Engineering, for Time Warner Cable in Englewood, Colorado. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Network Architecture Design and Development for Cable Labs in Boulder, Colorado (1993), and as Director of Bellcore's Applied Research Area in Morristown, New Jersey (1986 to 1993). In 1983 he founded Xynertek CA, a pioneering venture that designed and manufactured microcomputer systems in Venezuela.
Dr. Vecchi said: "I am excited about joining AOL at this time because of the many opportunities available to the Company. With its broad consumer base, it's ideally positioned to be the leader in new developments in Internet access, new technologies, and new services. Nobody is better positioned than AOL to make the Internet even more affordable, accessible and easy to use."
Dr. Vecchi, 50, received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1975, and a BS from Cornell University in 1969. He also has a degree in professional engineering from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, which he received in 1979.
