comes and goes - evening can be worse. Bad thng about cable modem is you must be in the place where the cable is located eg. at home (a good name they chose).

Dial-in ISP (and ADSL if it's available in the area from which you're calling) allows you to call from anywhere.

In Canada, you will have better cable modem performance, all other thigs being equal, b/c fewer persons on the "highway"
