Those are good points.

I even put myself in a "vulnerable" position - when he gave the price, I asked if that included destination charges (I think that was the word) - he said no they don't charge those things.

and since you point it out, it was near the end of the month - actually, near the end of the quarter.
At work when we buy certain high end items, the salespeople are always anxious to get the sale in (and usually ship) before the end of the quarter so maybe that concept was put into play as well for this car purchase.

My third new car - before that I had used cars and I got tired of dealing with issues some from abuse of the cars by previous owners. This may sound silly, but when I drive a car, it becomes part of me so while I may sometimes push it a bit, I try to treat it well. But zero accidents since I started driving, so I'm lucky or doing something right.
