Latest from Agoracom: POETMMC re: MRVL

Re: Marvell going for optical interposer packagingIn Response To Re: Marvell going for optical interposer packaging by breadandcircuses

Thanks BC.

I did not speak with anyone at Marvell at OFC. They had a large booth. A lot of traffic. They're clearly a major player in the space.

Even if Marvell developes ther own OE's, it's possible that the advantages of POETs passive alignment is compelling enough to enter into some type of OEM, licensing/resell, partnership.

The POET-Luxshare-Marvell connection is similar to the POET-Foxconn Fit-Broadcom connection. Both expose POET to a potential game changing engagement In which a major player (Marvell. Broadcom) contracts with POET for the use of their optical engines.

Interestingly, when I was speaking with either Raju, Mo, or Mika at OFC about Foxconn, he or she made a comment that led me to believe that there may be some type of engagement in process with Broadcom.

This is speculative. It was just a comment. But the scenario was me asking if the Foxconn relationship is experiencing a setback due a primary contact at Foxconn making a move to another company. The response inferred, as I recall, that "maybe" there could be an opportunity with Broadcom.. My feeling at the time was that something was in play, but that there wasn't anything that they could state authoritativey and publically.

It may also have meant nothing.

It may have just been me subconsciously arousing my "1000% return on investment" fantasy by assuming there was a meaningful message being relayed.

So, don't take this as Me stating a fact.

If it happens though, If Broadcom and Marvell license POET OE's, this shit is going to get real.

IMHO
