Trump said yesterday that Canada is a 'serious contender' to be the 51st state and 'They need our protection'. That is what Putin said about Ukraine in 2022. Putin thought he could take Ukraine in 3 days. He didn't factor in the deep resolve of the people, their values, and their complete refusal to be ruled by Putin.

Canadians have a reputation for being nice, but nice does not equal weak. Canadians hold strong values that give us a deep resolve. We distinguished ourselves during battles such as Ypres, Artois, the Somme, Arras and Passchendaele earning a reputation as the most formidable and effective soldiers. German soldiers became so afraid of Canadians and their determination that they called us “storm troopers”. That was Canada protecting the land of our friends and allies. Trump and his Fox "News"-addled minions have no clue of what they would be up against with Canada. It would be Vietnam times a thousand.

Trump should read history - about the French Resistance, who fought Nazis with nothing but belief before they had weapons. Or to Poland, where underground fighters kept their nation alive despite being occupied by the world’s biggest armies. The Soviet Union collapsed after Afghanistan. Firepower alone doesn’t mean victory—ask Russia, stuck in Ukraine despite superior weapons and a huge population difference.

Canada also has friends. Lots of them. Friends with values and resolve. Including millions in the USA who would join our resistance to Trump's regime and attempted hostile takeover.

Values are why people choose to fight in the first place. Ukraine didn't fall because they refused to be ruled. Canada will always refuse to be ruled by new-age Nazis. Try us and we will fight harder, longer, and with more purpose. Trump will lose everything and the USA's reputation will take 100 years to recover.
