I made it through 40 minutes of the movie "Napoleon" on Apple TV before giving up. The acting was wooden, the script was worse, and director Ridley Scott, I can't figure out what the hell he was trying to do. This was a complete embarrassment. We know that Joaquin Phoenix is a solid actor from many other roles including Scott movies. This is on the director for putting such dreck on screen.

If Scott had made a movie with cannons firing and things blowing up for 2 hours, that might have been watchable. But this clearly was not. He has seriously lost his touch with non-action scenes.

I also bailed on the Apple TV original series"Foundation." I first read the novels many decades ago, and I remembered them being much more cerebral than this. That is just Asimov's style. I guess TV showrunners need to focus on sex and violence to keep the audience's attention. This just got boring.

A few minutes into the second episode of "Slow Horses" produced that same "I really don't like anyone on screen here" feeling as "Bad Sisters."

Ironic since I think "Manhunt" is one of the most underrated series in a long while. Comparable to "Turn: Washington's Spies" a while back.
