Higher EAA (=0.6) is linked to:

- Increased prevalence of proteinuria.
- Lower SaO2/FiO2 ratios.
- Slower recovery in serum creatinine levels, especially in patients with AKI stage 1.

Patients with persistent EAA =0.6 experienced:

- Longer hospital stays.
- Delayed ICU discharge compared to those with EAA <0.6.
