The proliferation of audio books and podcasts has opened up options for many people.
I'll listen to the radio in the car, mostly news. Occasionally a really good NPR weekend show if I'm
driving. But as for podcasts and books.. I'd just rather read.
But for some people they prefer audio. Some people would rather take in information through their
ears than their eyes, I suppose. Must be the case, because audio books are huge.
I tried one once, didn't like it.
