I bought the refurbed 17" Acer laptop I'm typing this on, quite a few years ago, and it's held up well until recently when the keyboard started getting wonky. I just ordered a 17" refurbed HP running Win 10 for $300 plus tax. No point in buying a new one for the light use I'll be giving it.

I've got a closet full of my old computers, dating back to an ancient desktop running Windows 98SE. Think it would still work if I hooked it up.. :-)
