The issue of Israel’s survival as a nation is incredibly complex, with a huge number of moving parts.

I have no idea whether you are familiar with this person - Dan Schueftan. He’s a historian and a political scientist. His approach is different - for example, he describes the difference between a stupid and a smart optimist: A stupid optimist says “things will get better”. A smart optimist will say “things will get worse. But in the meantime, until this happens, I will become become stronger much faster - and will be able to deal with problems even better”.

Or this - to the question of solutions: You can’t eliminate crime. But you can bring it to a to a tolerable level. If crime is down by 95% - that’s an improvement. No need to worry about ultimate solutions.

Along with his unusual brand of humor, the guy is dead serious about practicalities. I think most people wouldn’t agree with him, at least, not on everything - but if you haven’t seen it - this video offers a wonderful and enlightening hour.
