I use the portable version of thunderbird and since the update I have not been able to send any emails. I get this message with any email reply I try to send. Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.office365.com timed out. Try again. I checked my settings and they are correct as far as I know and I also tried a new install of a portable version using an older version for the install setting up the hotmail account as per the questions asked for the setup. All the same as my other version and still I get the same message. Even though I used an older version of the portable to install on my usb it automatically updated to the newer version some how. I even tried sending an email via my backup of Thunderbird and still the same. Using the web I can log in just fine to Hotmail. Any suggestions?
