SAFIRE project as I understand it, the binding energy of the nucleus of heavy elements on the surface the cathode are overcome in the confinement of a electromagnetic bubble like field surrounding the cathode, & a hydrogen nucleus is added. This destabilizes the nucleus of the heavy element which splits into two lighter elements, releasing the binding energy of the heavier element's nucleus which is greater than the binding energy of the daughter elements' nucleus. This process once started, can cascade as evidenced by the run away energy production in the SAFIRE reactor, that can be shut down or controlled by regulating the electrical input.

The suit of new elements created in the SAFIRE reactor is almost identical to elements detected in the sun's corona. This leads me to think that the constant rain of iron and heavier nuclei in cosmic dust is transmuted into lighter elements within the electromagnetic confinement of the sun's corona. If so, when the dustier galactic current sheet hits our sun, estimated for circa 2046, it trigger much larger CME's over a decade or two, preceding and following a a micro nova like event similar to the solar brightening events detected at near by stars as the galactic current sheet passes our sun. This will happen at the same time the earth's magnetic field is weakening, and will not be good. Hell on earth is a coming.
