I was lucky to have about 15 minutes of Francis’s time today.
Mine: lots of interest. Francis said his hope if a sale happens would be cash up front, royalties and first in line for product.
HVAC: Being tested in a facility built specifically for testing filters treated with our ink. One of a kind in the world. Lots, yes he said “lots of world wide interest”. If testing is successful we have no initial competition. I got the impression if testing is successful this product would hit the market very very fast. Monique and Peter have done an amazing job with the HVAC portfolio.
Fuel Additive: Could be our biggest revenue generator long term, still early stages of testing but Francis was very excited about this particular IP.
Icephobic: Again a one of a kind product that will prove to produce huge revenues.
Fire Retardant: Current products on the market are not green, quite toxic. There is still some work to do on this, talking with companies who can provide a green product we can add our sauce to.
Masks: FDA requested further tests from zentek, so a bit to go on that yet. They have a large inventory of treated product ready to be shipped out. N95 and KN95 currently in testing, expected to come to market fairly soon.
Nitri Gloves: The process to manufacturer the gloves has challenges. When the gloves actually come out of the mould they are inside out. Zentek is working with partners to find innovative ways for application.
Gowns, basically the same application as our masks just bigger sheets for cutting out the gowns. Currently working with entities for production.
Spoke with big John our main plant guy. He had many challenges, not only getting machinery but also electronic boards, building supplies for building the offices etc. Covid created many hurdles.
Had a quick conversation with Colin, there are many research projects on the go with multiple universities, so many projects he can’t count them all.
It’s one thing to read NR’s and watch interviews however when you speak with Francis and Greg in person you watch their body language and expressions, both these guys are incredibly motivated. They are as excited as all us investors are, if not even more. They are very proud of the manufacturing facility and the zentek team. Greg could not stop smiling when discussing HVAC.
We met the new quality production team, 4 young people who are very excited to be working for zentek, they were all smiles.
It was great to meet up with some of our valued posters here on SI. I had the pleasure of sitting beside Fluffy, (aside from the odd hair ball popping out). Fluffy has his paw on the pulse of this company, he probably owns more shares than he has hairs on his body.
A few lads from the CEO site were there, good to see/meet them, smart fellows.
A chap asked me today “are you not concerned with the current share price? I quickly replied “not at all.” The markets aren’t aware of zentek yet, but they soon will be. The world is experiencing an economic downturn, zentek was hit by an orchestranged short attack, delays on projects and timelines outside of their control.
I came away with the sense that the stars are finally aligning, getting the plant built and running is the catalyst for contracts.
