I read a book about Albert Pierrepoint some time ago.

The work given him at the Nuremberg trials was too much for him, but he was professional about it.

His analysis was that capital punishment was not an effective deterrent and therefore should not be used within the legal framework in the light of of all other information.

He was a guy who would be in a good position to know.



It just gives us ordinary citizens an idea how bad a real war must be like. Those who have not been personally exposed to it.

But Dr Mike Yeadon also knows what he is talking about imho.
