Just over 100 days into his time in the White House and the end to President Joe Biden’s lies is nowhere in sight. Here is part two of The Federalist’s rigorous coverage keeping the Biden administration accountable with substantive fact-checking throughout the president’s tenure.

Confused Biden Says He ‘Used To Drive An 18 Wheeler’During a visit to the Mack Truck facility in Pennsylvania, President Biden claimed he “used to drive an 18-wheeler.”
“I got to,” Biden said.
While newspaper records indicate Biden rode in a cargo truck for hundreds of miles to “observe truckers’ woes,” there is no evidence that he ever operated a truck himself.
Biden Claims He Was A Professor In Between Being In The White House But He Never Taught A ClassPresident Biden claimed that he was a professor in between his time as Obama’s Vice President and his current tenure in the White House.
While Biden was named an honorary professor and led the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, the Democrat never taught a class during those four years.
Biden Admin Mandates COVID Vaccines For Medical Employees Despite Pledging Not ToBiden’s Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough announced on Monday that he will mandate COVID-19 vaccines for health care employees working in Veteran Affairs. According to the press release, “each employee will have eight weeks to be fully vaccinated” before risking termination.
In March, the White House pledged to leave vaccine passports to the “private sector.”
“We expect…that a determination or development of a vaccine passport or whatever you want to call it will be driven by the private sector,” Psaki said. “Ours will more be focused on guidelines that can be used as a basis. There are a couple key principles that we are working from: one is that there will be no centralized, universal federal vaccinations database and no federal mandate requiring everyone to obtain a single vaccination credential; second, we want to encourage an open marketplace with a variety of private sector companies and nonprofit coalitions developing solutions; and third, we want to drive the market toward meeting public interest goals.”
Biden Claims You Can’t Get COVID If You’re Vaccinated
During a presidential town hall hosted by CNN’s Don Lemon on July 21, Biden claimed you cannot contract COVID-19 if you’ve been fully vaccinated against the respiratory virus.
“We don’t talk enough to you about this, I don’t think,” he said. “One last thing that’s really important is, we’re not in the position where we think that any virus, including the Delta virus, which is much more transmissible and more deadly in terms of unvaccinated people, the — the various shots that people are getting now cover that. You’re okay. You’re not going to — you’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.”
According to the president’s own Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), however, this statement is patently false.
“COVID-19 vaccines are effective,” the CDC website states. “However, a small percentage of people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19 if they are exposed to the virus that causes it. These are called ‘vaccine breakthrough cases.’ This means that while people who have been vaccinated are much less likely to get sick, it will still happen in some cases. It’s also possible that some fully vaccinated people might have infections, but not have symptoms (asymptomatic infections). Experts continue to study how common these cases are.”
Recent events have also shown Biden’s claim to be false. After flying to Washington, D.C., to protest an election integrity bill, at least six Texas Democrats tested positive for COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated. Moreover, staffers in the White House and Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office tested positive despite full vaccination status.
Biden Denies That Proliferation Of Government Money Is Jacking Up PricesIn the same presidential town hall, Biden rejected the idea that the proliferation of government spending bills encouraged by the White House is responsible for climbing prices in the United States.
“You’re pretty confident that inflation is temporary but you’re pumping all of this money into the economy. Couldn’t that add to—” Lemon started before the president interrupted him.
“Look, here’s the deal. Moody’s today — a Wall Street firm, not some liberal think tank — said, if I pass the other two things I’m trying to get done, we will in fact reduce inflation, reduce inflation, reduce inflation. Because you’re going to be providing good opportunities and jobs for people who in fact are going to be reinvesting that money back in all the things we’re talking about. Driving down prices not raising prices. … I sincerely mean prices are up now. … It relates to what in fact is now needed because we’re growing,” Biden replied.
Despite Biden’s claims, economists and legislators have expressed concern that the influx of federal dollars into the economy via stimulus and other spending programs are causing prices of gas, food, and other goods to skyrocket.
Biden Denies Looming ‘Unchecked Inflation,’ His Treasury Secretary Says the OppositeBiden said the United States should not fear a near future of “unchecked inflation.”
“There’s nobody suggesting there’s unchecked inflation on the way. No serious economist,” Biden said.
Hours later, however, Biden’s Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen expressed worries on CNBC that “we will have several more months of rapid inflation,” a concern echoed by other economists.
Biden Delivers Lie-Riddled Speech Targeting GOP and Election IntegrityPresident Biden delivered a lie-riddled address targeting Republicans for blocking Democrats’ partisan election overhaul bill and working to substitute it with election integrity laws.
One of his first falsities was that the Texas GOP’s attempts to pass election reforms would install “partisan poll watchers” to “intimidate voters.”
Biden also repeated the lie that voter ID laws and other election security measures are “21st century Jim Crow.”
“It’s unrelenting, and we’re going to challenge it vigorously,” Biden said.
The president continued to claim that Republicans were leading the charge against voting rights but also said that “the fact that so many election officials across the country made it easier and safer for them to be able to vote in the middle of a pandemic was remarkable.”
White House: Election Laws Are The ‘Worst Challenge To Our Democracy Since Civil War’Press Secretary Jen Psaki repeated the lie that state elections laws are the “worst challenge to our democracy since the Civil War.”
After a reporter asked Psaki about the Biden administration’s response to the onslaught of election integrity laws, the press secretary listed off a series of bullet points that the president intends to do to fight back against “voter suppression.”
“He will highlight the work of the administration against this, the necessity of passing the ‘For The People Act’ and the ‘John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act’ and how we need to work together with civil rights organizations to build as broad a turnout and voter education system to overcome the worst challenge to our democracy since the Civil War,” she said. “This is an opportunity for him to make the case to the American people about how this is a fundamental right.”
Biden Claims He Was An All-Star Player At Congressional Baseball Game Where He Went 0-2President Biden told a story on how he hit a ball 358 feet at his second congressional baseball game while hosting the LA Dodgers at the White House on July 2. The only problem: Biden, a freshman Senator from Delaware at the time in 1974, went 0-2 at the game.
“Biden was decked out in Phillies home pinstripes last night as he went 0-for-2 (groundout, strikeout) in the Democrats’ 7-3 loss to the Republicans in the national annual congressional baseball game at Memorial Stadium,” read local coverage of the event.
Biden Claims That Tuskegee Airman Were Experimented On by U.S. GovernmentWhile speaking at a North Carolina event on COVID-19 vaccination efforts, President Joe Biden falsely claimed that vaccine hesitancy among black Americans stemmed from past experimentation by the U.S. government on the Tuskegee Airman.
“The reason why it’s been harder to get African Americans, initially, to get vaccinated because they are used to being experimented on — the Tuskegee Airmen and others,” Biden said.
The Tuskegee Airman were the first group of African-American fighter pilots that served in the Army Air Corps throughout World War II. The Airmen were not connected to the Tuskegee Syphilis Study, wherein over 600 black men were experimented on by the U.S. government to “observe the progression of a number of diseases, particularly syphilis, untreated in black males.” Biden also made the same false claim in May 2021 during an interview with YouTuber Jackie Aina.
Border Lead Kamala Harris Claims It Was ‘Always The Plan’ To Visit BorderDuring her trip to the border in El Paso, TX after delaying a visit for more than 90 days, Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that it was “always the plan” to address the effects as well as the “root causes” of Biden’s border crisis.
“I said back in March that I was gonna come to the border so this is not a new plan,” Biden’s border lead told reporters.
Despite her claims, Harris was not always set on visiting the border. Not only did her own spokesperson say in March that there were no plans for the VP to make a trip to the border in the “near future,” but Harris also laughed off or became defensive when reporters asked her any questions about whether she planned to address the influx of illegal aliens and less-than poor conditions in detention centers for migrant children.
Harris also repeated the lie that it’s not her “first trip” to the border during this administration. The last times the vice president visited the border was before she was elected in October when she campaigned in McAllen, TX and in 2018 when, as a Senator, Harris protested the Trump administration’s immigration policies in San Diego.
Biden Says High Gun Violence In Cities With Tough Gun Laws Is FalseDuring his remarks on the rise in violent crime, Biden claimed that areas of the US with the strictest gun laws don’t have the highest violent crime rates.
“The gun lobby wants you to believe that cities that have the toughest gun laws still have the highest rates of gun violence … don’t believe it,” the president claimed without evidence.
Data, however, shows that even those states that leftist gun control groups have ranked as stricter on firearms experience high levels of the firearm death rate. Even though states such as California, New York, Illinois, and Maryland pride themselves on having more restrictions on firearms than most places in the country, they still experience high levels of gun violence and deaths. |
