Highlights of the News
Don Surber

1: After voting to Defund the Police, Atlanta Democrat Councilman and Mayoral Candidate Antonio Brown is going to have to walk and take the bus because somebody stole his car.

His Dude, Where's My Car? moment came Wednesday when he drove his white Mercedes to a housing project for a ribbon-cutting. Dunkin doughnuts and Baskin-Robbins opened a store. ?Oh Lord, won't you replace my Mercedes Benz?
The projects kids stole it, I must make amends.
Worked hard to Defund Police, that's the story, my friends.
Oh Lord, won't you replace, my Mercedes Benz?
I am sure the police he voted to defund will get right on the case, as soon as they finish laughing.

Or maybe after they solve the 157 homicides Atlanta suffered after Brown and other Democrats began demonizing the police. That was a 58% rise from the 99 homicides it suffered in 2019.

ITEM 2: Washington Free Beacon reported, "Three Democratic lawmakers hosted a forum earlier this month where several convicted cop killers were hailed as political prisoners. The event featured a former Black Panther implicated in the torture of a member suspected of being a police informant.

"Speakers at the May 10 forum, hosted by Reps. Steve Cohen (D., Tenn.), Bobby Rush (D., Ill.), and Barbara Lee (D., Calif.), praised Mumia Abu-Jamal, Mutulu Shakur, H. Rap Brown, and other black liberationists supremacists who are all serving life sentences for killing police officers. The topic of the event was COINTELPRO, the FBI program that tracked black separatist groups in the 1960s and 1970s."

Democrats are upset because MTG said requiring workers to wear vaccinated logo to the yellow stars

But these scum congressmen praise a cop-killer like Mumia Abu-Jamal.

Republicans should demand Pelosi condemn this.

ITEM 3: Summit News reported, "Criminals who repeatedly targeted an auto shop in Spring Lake, North Carolina by leaving racist graffiti referencing the KKK and Nazis turned out to be two African-American men after the owner caught them on camera.

"Business owner Dwyane Haynesworth (who is black) took action after having a car stole off his lot and then discovering the racist graffiti, which included a drawing of a swastika.

"After setting up the security cameras, that same night the criminals returned and broke into more vehicles before smashing windows and attempting to hot wire one of the cars.

"The footage revealed the culprits to be two black men."

These are not hoaxes. These are race crimes designed to divide the races.

ITEM 4: Breitbart reported USA Today censored a column by a teenage girl athlete complaining that she had to compete against male runners.

She wrote, "I won that race, and I’m grateful. But time after time, I have lost. I’ve lost four women’s state championship titles, two all-New England awards, and numerous other spots on the podium to male runners. I was bumped to third place in the 55-meter dash in 2019, behind two male runners. With every loss, it gets harder and harder to try again."

USA Today ran it, "I won that race, and I’m grateful. But time after time, I have lost. I’ve lost four women’s state championship titles, two all-New England awards, and numerous other spots on the podium to transgender runners. I was bumped to third place in the 55-meter dash in 2019, behind two transgender runners. With every loss, it gets harder and harder to try again."

The biggest threat to free speech comes from the media.

ITEM 5: The Foundation for Economic Education declared, "Rand Paul Has Won Every Single Round Against Fauci.

"Time has proven Rand Paul had his thumb on the pulse of the science of the virus, and understood the unintended consequences of government interventions better than public health officials."

This proves the intelligence of electing representatives and senators with expertise outside of politics.

For decades, Tony the Medicrat buffaloed Congress -- and expanded his budget 10-fold -- because he was a medical doctor.

Finally, Kentucky elected Dr. Rand Paul to the Senate who challenged Fauci. Lo and behold, we discovered Fauci does not know what the heck he is talking about. And he likely funded Red China's biomedical warfare research.

This is why Democrats keep pushing Senate Lifers as presidential candidates. Gore, Kerry, Obama, Hillary, and Biden were their last five candidates (six if you include Obama twice). Senators all (the previous jobs of VPs Gore and Biden).

Democrats do not want a president who is independent of DC. And DC is filled with experts whose expertise is in manipulating Congress, and not their field of study. This includes generals and admirals.

ITEM 6: The Washington Examiner reported, "Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm distanced herself Thursday from the Biden administration's decision to waive sanctions on the company and CEO in charge of building the Russian Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline into Germany.

"Granholm, testifying before the House Science Committee, said the Department of Energy was not part of the decision handled by the State Department, which cited geopolitical reasons in waiving sanctions.

"Nonetheless, Granholm said she opposes the completion of Nord Stream 2 because she said the new natural gas infrastructure project would be detrimental to her agency's interest in curbing global emissions and combating climate change."

She does not know what she is talking about.

Natural gas is the best way to heat a home. Pipelines are the safest way to transport gas over land.

Her Wikipedia entry (likely written by her staff) says she "is a Canadian-American politician, lawyer, educator, author, and political commentator." She knows nothing about energy. Not one daggone thing. She probably thinks electricity comes from a socket in the wall.

Hers is a political decision wrapped in environmental goo. She just wants an out for when she shuts down American pipelines.

ITEM 7: Zero Hedge reported, " 'It Would Be Detrimental To A Lot Of Companies': Jamie Dimon Slams Biden Tax Plan."

He is bragging, not complaining. In October, Bloomberg reported, "Dimon Says He’s Hopeful Biden Would Fix Some of America’s Issues."

Obviously, the tax hikes will be detrimental to many companies -- and advantageous to his company.

Corporate America knew what they were getting when they joined the effort to dump Trump. They can go fudge themselves.

ITEM 8: Al Jazeera reported, "A co-founder of Black Lives Matter announced Thursday that she is stepping down as executive director of the movement’s foundation. She decried what she called a smear campaign from a far-right group, but said neither that nor recent criticism from other Black organizers influenced her departure.

"Patrisse Cullors, who has been at the helm of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation for nearly six years, said she is leaving to focus on other projects, including the upcoming release of her second book and a multiyear TV development deal with Warner Bros Her last day with the foundation is Friday."

She got 2 or 3 mansions (one near Malibu) and a payoff from AT&T through its Warner subsidiary.

She will live the highlife while black homicides are soaring in city after city with her promotion of communism via BLM.

ITEM 9: The New York Times blathered, "U.S. Says It Will Not Rejoin Open Skies Treaty With Russia."

Flashback to June 1, "President Donald Trump's recent decision to withdraw from the 1992 Open Skies Treaty, which has helped keep the post-Cold War peace, raises the long-term risk of armed conflict in Europe. While unfortunate, abandoning this 34-nation confidence-building measure is consistent with Trump's years-long policy of confidence-demolition."

Once again, Donald Trump was right.

ITEM 10: WGHP in North Carolina reported, "VIDEO: 8 people, including 37-year-old parent, storm classroom, attack 14-year-old girl at Southern Guilford High School, deputies say."

Why do we bother with public schools if this is how people behave?

ITEM 11: The Daily Wire reported, "Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis told Fox News during a town hall event Wednesday night that people who are moving to Florida are overwhelmingly registering as Republicans, including former Democrats who fled blue states."

DeSantis said, " I think they are registering as Republicans overwhelming. And I also have come across a lot of people who, quite frankly, were Democrats. The lockdowns turned them into Republicans."

We shall see.

ITEM 12: The Washington Examiner reported, "The Biden administration is recommending doubling tariffs on Canadian lumber despite the current skyrocketing prices for the materials for U.S. consumers."

National Association of Home Builders chairman Chuck Fowke said, "At a time when soaring lumber prices have added nearly $36,000 to the price of a new home and priced millions of middle-class households out of the housing market, the Biden administration's preliminary finding on Friday to double the tariffs on Canadian lumber shipments into the U.S. shows the White House does not care about the plight of American home buyers and renters who have been forced to pay much higher costs for housing."

The story said, "The move, which would raise tariffs on Canadian lumber from 8.99% to 18.32%, comes as lumber prices in the U.S. jumped 275% since last April."

Consider the 275% inflation on wood prices another tax on building a home.

ITEM 13: The New York Post reported, "Kids are using fraudulent personal details to sell explicit videos and imagery on OnlyFans.

"A BBC News investigation has revealed a number of accounts launched by minors on the adult website, which boasts more than a million creators who share self-produced content to more than 120 million paid followers. In return, OnlyFans takes a 20% cut of all subscriptions.

"Created in 2019, OnlyFans exploded in popularity last year, when many turned to the site as a financial lifeline during the pandemic.

"The platform’s policy requires users to be over 18 years old and, in response to the BBC’s findings, insisted their verification process abides by regulatory requirements.

"But the BBC uncovered reports of kids on the site as young as 12 years old. In one case, a 14-year-old used their grandmother’s passport to gain access to the site. And a 17-year-old in Nevada was featured in graphic videos posted to a legitimate adult account — his 18-year-old girlfriend’s — putting the account owner in violation of OnlyFans’ terms and conditions."

OnlyFans is an online pimp.

The pedo-friendly Biden won't, but the next Republican president should bust these child-porning pimps.

ITEM 14: Al Jazeera reported, "The United States is outraged that peaceful Iraqi demonstrators demanding reform met threats and brutal violence, State Department spokesman Ned Price said on Thursday.

"One demonstrator was shot dead and dozens injured during violence at a rally in Baghdad two days ago when thousands gathered to demand accountability from Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi for the murders of prominent Iraqi activists and protesters."

Hypocrites.

Biden has hundreds of January 6 anti-government protesters in jail, some without formally charged.

ITEM 15: Trending Politics reported, "Mask mandates did not slow the spread of the coronavirus in the United States. A new study in pre-publication phase provides further documentation of what astute observers of the COVID-19 pandemic already know.

"The study’s lead author Damian D. Guerra, an assistant professor of biology at the University of Louisville, and co-author Daniel J. Guerra, of VerEvMed, 'hypothesized that statewide mask mandates and mask use are associated with lower COVID-19 case growth rates.'

"Then, they set out to do what real scientists actually do: Disprove the 'null hypothesis.' This is another way of saying they set out to falsify their assumption. Spoiler alert: They did."

Once again, skeptics were right,

Lesson: question authority.

ITEM 16: Detroit Free Press reported, "A Michigan chemical company that arranged for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to fly to Florida in its private jet is under scrutiny from the Federal Aviation Administration, prompting a change in how the flight will be paid for, Whitmer's campaign disclosed Thursday.

"Whitmer's reelection campaign will pay PVS Chemicals of Detroit for the $27,521 cost of the flight to visit Whitmer's father, not a nonprofit corporation that Whitmer controls, as announced earlier, Whitmer campaign attorney Christopher Trebilcock said in a letter obtained by the Free Press."

Her lockdown hypocrisy was the appetizer.

Her accepting a bribe is the meat and potatoes of this story.

The company may be in FAA trouble over this as well.

ITEM 17: Breitbart reported, "Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has reportedly whipped enough votes to defeat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) partisan January 6 Commission."

Hang together or hang separately.

ITEM 18: Reuters reported, "California will offer $116.5 million in cash and gift cards to residents who get COVID-19 vaccinations before June 15, the latest -- and most lucrative -- incentive by U.S. states desperate to persuade laggards and vaccine-skeptics to get the injection."

Catturd on Gab said it best, "Imagine a vaccine so popular you have to give away $116,000,000 to get people to take it."

FINALLY, MSN reported, "Premiere Radio Networks has found its replacement for The Rush Limbaugh Show. The iHeartMedia-owned radio giant says that Clay Travis and Buck Sexton will host the daily program from 12-3 p.m. ET, beginning June 21. Premiere has been running reruns of Limbaugh’s show in the timeslot ever since the radio host passed away in February. Both Travis and Sexton are regulars on Fox News Channel, and Travis recently sold his sports-culture website Outkick to Fox Corp. as part of a larger corporate push into sports betting."

Travis is a remarkable story.

After Jermele Hill of ESPN called President Trump a white supremacist, drawing calls to fire her, Brooke Baldwin of CNN has Travis on to discuss it.

Travis said, "I believe in only two things completely: the First Amendment and boobs."

Pearls were clutched and that got him banned from CNN for life.

LOL.

3 years later, she has left CNN and he is taking over for Limbaugh.

Dear CNN, please ban me.
