The Taiwan Economic Daily reports that Apple's AR (Enhanced Reality) / VR (Virtual Reality) headset is already in the final stage of development testing for next year's launch.

It also mentioned that the supply chain will start mass production and sales in Q4 2021 (October to December) and Q1 2022 (January to March).

The headset is designed to enhance the AR/VR and other gaming experiences with six lenses and LiDAR sensors, and will cost $500 to $1,000.

The government demanded that Magna Chip Semiconductor, a South Korean company that was sold to a Chinese consortium, submit technical data. The move is aimed at determining whether the country has core technologies. If Magna Chip Semiconductor, which produces OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) panel drive chips (DDI), is confirmed to have national core technology, the government can put a brake on the sale.
