To give you here an update on Mike, he had his follow up MRI Monday that follows his 6 weeks of radiation and chemo that he concluded two weeks ago. Yesterday he met with his oncologist to go over the MRI. The oncologist was both surprised and pleased with what the MRI shows, or maybe what it doesn’t show. They usually expect to see the Adema (a cloudy area or shadow) that shows up on the scans of a Glioblastoma, darken. This one shrunk and lightened up, a lot. He said he couldn’t be more pleased with what he sees. Mike continues to run his 4 miles every other day (he couldn’t while we were on Lake Powell of course) and feels very good. He will start a “5 days a week” regimen of the chemo with two pills rather than one pill he was getting 5 days a week. Typical of Mike, he told us on the phone after giving us the update “I still might die, but it won’t be THIS month”. He was upbeat, but then, he always is.
We want to again thank everyone for their prayers, they’ve been working.
