Well... I guess... those of us whose hopes or expectations in college football this year aren't being fulfilled ?

As an Auburn fan... after beating Alabama... switching from football to caring more about basketball during the pre-conference play was a pretty easy choice... and one that makes a lot of sense...

Auburn was Twelve and Oh! before starting conference play today... along with 13-0 San Diego State one of only two still undefeated teams this year. Conference opener today was an away game against Mississippi State. Auburn has posted only 2 wins in their 17 prior attempts in this game... but just beat Mississippi State in Starkville... making this win their 3rd win in 18 tries in this venue... and they won the contest today by their largest ever margin: 80 - 68.

Last years Final Four team lost in this contest, on January 26, 2019, scoring only 84 to MSST's 92 points.

LAst year's Auburn team thrived, in large part, by shooting the three better than most others. This team... so far... is a lot more about tough playing defense, rebounding well, and scoring points inside.

Bruce Pearl ragging on his team in the post-game... "we gotta play better"...

"It's as good a win as there was in the league" today...

Bracketology has Auburn as a 2 seed, Kentucky as a 6, Arkansas an 8 and Florida a 10 seed for the SEC.
The NET rankings had 12-0 Auburn at #6... they're up to #7 in the coaches poll... #8 in the AP poll... #2 in Andy Katz Power 36 rankings...

It's been a lot of fun watching them climb the rankings...
