All China has to do is corner the China market with their own OS, for both desktop and mobile. The size of the China market will devastate US companies (and the US economy) if they are locked out. So China does not have to make an OS for western people. They just have to make one for the 1.4 billion Chinese people that also the 1.4 billion people in India will use as well as the rest of the developing countries that have no dependency to U.S. software. And this is already starting to happen, first with 100% china hardware with 0% US dependency, and the software follow. You have to wonder where that leaves all those US tech companies with stratospheric PE now, when their growth drops to zero or god forbid goes negative.
