You know what I'm referring to when I say socialism/communism don't work, I'm referring to the ECONOMY. Controlling the means of production.

There has never been a socialist or communist economy that has ever worked, not in the history of the world. If you care to differ, please cite an example. I'll then show you Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil, etc. and the devastating effects attempts at socialist/communist economies have had on their people.

If you try to bring up China, they are, of course, a capitalist economy, and then I'll point to all the violence and unrest in Hong Kong right now.

But you already know this.

Of course government is socialist, some things should be, like the military, the roads, the sewers, etc. Just as you say.

I love the fact you went to bat like that for your mom. Out of curiosity, did you say you'd be the only one picketing or did you threaten to bring an army of friends as well? I know you could. :-)

As you know, I'm also a libertarian, but with limits. For example, I don't believe we ought to supply all the currently illegal drugs to people for cheap or free and just let them have at it. Hard drugs are destroying families and killing people by the tens of thousands in the U.S. every year. Making the drugs legal, cheap or free will only exacerbate that problem. It's disgusting.

I would love it it if your healthcare for all plan with vouchers would work, I'd just like to see the plan.

By the a side note, I highly recommend checking out Elizabeth Warren's website and her plans. I don't agree with much she is proposing, but I am impressed with her efforts and those of her staff:
