I'm sure you know that there is a great deal of dubiousness about anything Andrea Rossi (E-Cat) says. This does not prove anything, as the major fuel for science is doubt.

Is there anything real going on here? Rossi says that he has units at (unnamed) clients sites generating heat with a positive (5?) coefficient of performance. Do I believe this? Yes

The SAFIRE Project claims to be showing nuclear transformations caused by plasmas, but nothing commercial, yet. Does this sound hopeful? Yes, could be the ticket.

Brilliant Light ( brilliantlightpower.com ) claims success, but no commercial systems. It should be obvious if the correct configuration generated thermal energy, it should be easy to use solar cells to collect it from a glowing reactor, but I cannot see this as commercially viable.

Do I think any of this is going anywhere? Soon?

What is soon? I think, maybe 5 years for something that will make anyone money. My guess.
