TSMC commits to 5 nm 5G chips due to acceleration of orders:

TSMC's capex for 2020 will be similar to the revised 2019 capex, company CFO Wendell Huang was quoted as saying in previous reports. The pure-play foundry revised its capex this year to a record US$14-15 billion to respond to customers' acceleration of 5G deployments resulting in growing demand for 7nm and 5nm chips.

Just think how many more chips will be made with that die shrink to 5nm.

More chips inevitably result in the need for more new test systems as utilization exceeds 90%.

Die shrinks will require new dedicated kits for existing testhandlers = more consumables and a higher margin mix.

2020 is going to rock!!
