|Another important thing that is often missed is color calibration. Trying to achieve perfect calibration between your eyes, camera, the monitor, and the printer is an exercise in inanity. It was even worse in the film days, but even today and with manufacturer supplied ICC profiles, it is still hard to achieve perfect (or even great) color calibration.|
On my monitory (which is actually not a monitor but a 4k TV with 4:4:4 chroma) the boats are not too dark. But I've played with my screen's gamma and color settings to get what I think is right. On my cell phone (which was used to take the photo) the image is different.
