I've sold some 10's in August, Nov, and February
I've sold some 12.50's in the above months as well.
I also have some 15's in August (with some 12.50's that were very old), nets a $13.45 on the $15.00'S less the 12.50 premiums . 13.45 - twice the .90 12.50 premiums = 13.45 - 1.80 = $11.65.
I use the 12.50"s in small quantities, and the tens to help pay for them ( in a two times more 10's ratio).
If I'm lucky enough to get assigned the 12.50, I try to get $1.00 in premium on the 12.50's and another $1.00 in twice as many $10.00's (50 cents a contract x 2 =$1.00). That nets a purchase price of $10.50.
If the stock gets hammered and I get assigned the 10's, I buy a package that costs an average of $10.50ish.
I sold 10,000 shares back last year at 23.00 to buy some KMI.
Never dreamed of buying them back at an average of $10.50.
I'm a happy buyer at all prices.
You should look at the February 12.50's They were bid $1.10 to $1.30 today. 2 traded earlier today at $1.32.
I just sold mine yesterday at 1.00 and 1.05. Shoulda waited a day eh?
Then sell some 10's at 2 to 1 ratio with the 12.50 and you'll be at my position, but with more premium.
I'm not a broker and do your own diligence!
But I'll be a happy camper to get twice my old position with the same money.
I have no doubt Cohu is dead money and it'll take till 2020 to get lean and mean (with debt that I know mgt hates).
Cohu has put it together to be a very good growth stock even in tuff cycle troughs.
It could well be a triple in 2021 - much like Brooks did with life sciences, Cohu has done with rolling up contactors and consumeables IMO.
Let us know if you take a position. This place is so quiet not even bear is posting "Earth to Bear" LOL
He's out driving his pretty new vette while we're doing the bag holding/ <smile
Hope that helps, I've been doing it for a year and started with 10 22.50 and 20 of the 20.00's & 17.50's and this one last 15.00.
So far I've bought 1000 @22.50 and 2000 @ 20.00 and a LOT of premium. Still my net purchase price is under 15 and I 'm OK with that too.
Buying back @ $10.00 GETS ME TO SALIVATING - BUT That's me!!
Today had headlines from the CEO Summit. Bad news about H2, but I didn't hear lesser guidance.
Either way I view it as a value buy opportunity.
