Ron, Either you and Dmitry are ostriches with your heads firmly buried in the sand, or you are incapable of understanding that to non webmaster types, it appeared as if your site was hijacked near the end of February.
As a result, many regulars just quit using SI. Personally, it's utterly irrelevant how many webmasters are equally incapable of understanding how their action appeared to their users.
The result is that many contributors that I valued have left and not come back. As a result, SI has much less value for me, and, in all probability, many others.
Rather than this never ending assault on me attempting to prove that I'm just a blithering idiot, just look in a mirror, let reality by your friend, and accept that a different approach would have achieved the desired result without destroying SI's value to its users.
You mighty then even be able to conclude that spending that effort trying to get users back would be much better for both SI and its users; rather than a complete utter waste achieving close to nothing. It won't bring any users back nor will it convince anyone that it was an optimal method of saying, We Use Cookies.
As it is, rather than visiting SI first daily, I now check it out every couple days or so... |
