Here's why the DISH / S / TMUS rumors suggest YeeeUP we go. Those hints suggest that Charlie is effectively buying out ALL the prior Clearwire assets INCLUDING
- 2.5Ghz spectrum really really cheap - a huge haircut from booked value but roughly what Masa paid in the first place.

- TDD-LTE hardware from Huawei

My reading has been for years... and I wrote these same words back on SA... that Masa invited scary friends and financing into his biz - Softbank and Sprint - that exposed USA to the PRC contagion that is getting worse by the weekly reporting - especially Reuters World/China pages.
Then add USA's very clear and stated anger that Masa reneged on his agreement to pull Huawei hardware out of his network and you have... Payback.

Masa is getting his very overdue Regulatory Payback. Warning to (S) shareholders !!!

Charlie is making a new deal to finally pull out that hardware from Huawei and receive 'blessings' and incentives in return. Call him the Angel.

Now circle back to QCOM benefiting......

My premise is that Charlie is unleashing the Kracken... IMMEDIATELY on 2.5Ghz, later on his other spectrum holdings once certifications are completed which he clearly is having difficulty completing.

There has been a mysterious hold-up in IoT for M2M for both industry (IIoT) and Enterprise and Consumers in the Cat 1 and Cat-M and Cat-Nb-Iot low data rate devices sometime referred to as"fragmentation".

The implication has been that Huawei added some secret code to its devices, solutions, and platforms and that news was brought out by ERIC early 2017 and also hinted in the surprise stoppage on the GE Predix program that had PRC adoption (maybe late 2016) before the bubble burst later 2017.

Charlie removing the last TDD-LTE hardware from Huawei assures us that M2M IoT will be free of that Huawei contagion and that means a new round of M2M devices with a new solution - a whole new TAM to compete for. .

^THAT's ^ tailwind.

The last of the hardware from Huawe iis small rural Voice and FWA/BWA carriers and it seems reasonable to guess that an FCC gift is coming to replace all that gear, but they are fairly isolated for the near term.

IMO

@GaryMI RE "Why has adoption been slow?" See this article on standards and notice the terms 'fragmenting the market' and recall that our SP crash began the very same day of the GK warning: "fragmentation in the Internet of Things (IoT) market could prove a threat to the segment’s development"
