BOE launches the first 55-inch printed ultra-high-definition OLED display

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, November 26th, BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. announced on the 26th that the company has successfully developed China's first 55-inch 4K ultra-high-definition OLED display using inkjet printing technology, which has become another important breakthrough in related fields.

The OLED display is a display made of organic light-emitting diodes, which has the advantages of self-illumination, clear and bright, low power consumption, and light weight compared with the conventional LCD liquid crystal display. Therefore, industries such as smart phones are accelerating the application of OLED displays, and related technologies are rapidly developing. Among them, the use of inkjet printing technology to produce OLED display has become the focus of attention in the industry.

According to the relevant person in charge of BOE Group, the production of OLED display by inkjet printing technology can greatly improve the utilization rate of organic materials. The above-mentioned display material utilization rate of BOE can reach 90%, and it can effectively reduce costs and achieve better. The image quality performance, especially in the large-size OLED field has a good application prospect.

It is understood that BOE launched the 17-inch inkjet printing OLED display as early as 2012. In 2013, it successfully developed the first 30-inch full HD inkjet printing OLED display. In order to further promote the development of the industry, BOE also invested in the construction of a printed OLED technology platform in Hefei, promoting the development of related technologies, and allowing OLED TVs to accelerate into consumers' homes
