|I agree that the lack of iGPU has largely screwed Ryzen on the DT other than DIY and gaming rigs. But that somewhat reinforces my point that it was and is the GPU side of the business that despite all the issues has in fact contributed more to AMD's turnaround. The CPU side is not yet delivering significantly to the bottom line. And in fact, on the GPU side, it was really blind timing luck with crypto that saved AMD. Take away the miners, and AMD would have bleed money in both the last two quarters rather than small profits.|
So the claims that the CPU side has hit their goals and delivered on time is somewhat offset by the fact that the strategy on the CPU side, punting on mobile and iGPU and going for performance DT first might in fact have been a poor strategy. So Lisa might have hit the targets, but the targets weren't the right ones IMHO.
