If a stock price goes down and my initial reason for purchase still exist,
I am more likely to buy than sell.
If a stock price goes up 10-20-50% and my initial reason for purchase still exist,
I am more likely to buy than sell.
If my reason for purchase (merger, dividend increases, drug development, etc.) no longer exist,
I will sell independent of the stock being up or down.

Buffet calls this buying the company not the stock.

Note; Jeff Immelt has been GE's biggest problem. He is gone.
While I don't own GE here. I could see constructing a reason (split up the company)
to buy GE.
