I think your Walmart acquisition scenario makes sense. This in light of the recent Whole foods acquisition by Amazon. The first memorable thing Amazon does is cut prices to attract new customers. On Amazon side,Organics and natural brands command higher margins in this low margin grocery industry. IMO Walmart has to fight back somehow especially in it's grocery's business. Home delivery and at store pick up are growing trends I think. The food sector seemed to be an out of favor sector for awhile. I think the group is starting to gain some traction. This through some recent ok earnings and pullbacks in stock prices from disappointing past results. I'm also looking at BG foods. LNCE I'm still holding, but not adding currently. I've been looking at LNDC again. Although diversified, I like their more recent Apio and Windset Farms food model. As you mentioned. Value is hard to find in the group. Bought some speculative SNAK awhile back and took of bath on some of that. Still holding for a turnaround or possible outright sale. There's been some recent positive debt reduction goods signs on division sales. I like the Boulder Brands division that's left. However many questions remain moving forward. Still looking at thinly traded BRID.
