Long hours, low pay, and relatively low safety that might seem a totally unreasonable combination for the typical average American could be a dream job for the majority of the people who have ever lived.

Which is why free trade has been responsible for pulling hundreds of millions of people in developing countries out of poverty.

The consideration of a basic income program may be appropriate in one country and not another. Or it may be implemented as a temporary fix if an economy is in transition. Who knows what effect increasing automation and the use of artificial intelligence will have on the job market? The introduction of commercial drones has created a multitude of jobs. Perhaps, developments in the field of artificial intelligence will do the same.

Give it a thorough road test.
