Bureau of labor stats.
The labor force participation rate declined by 0.2 percentage point to 62.7 percent
in May but has shown no clear trend over the past 12 months. The employment-population
ratio edged down to 60.0 percent in May. (See table A-1.)
The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons (sometimes referred
to as involuntary part-time workers) was little changed at 5.2 million in May. These
individuals, who would have preferred full-time employment, were working part time
because their hours had been cut back or because they were unable to find a full-time
job. (See table A-8.)

In May, average hourly earnings for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls rose by 4
cents to $26.22. Over the year, average hourly earnings have risen by 63 cents, or 2.5
percent. In May, average hourly earnings of private-sector production and nonsupervisory
employees increased by 3 cents to $22.00. (See tables B-3 and B-8.)

Federally mandated 50 cent minimum wage increases are to go into effect annually until the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour is reached. Bill 312-33, which would increase the minimum wage from $8.25 to $9.20 beginning May 1, 2017, and then to $10.10 in 2018 was vetoed by the governor.

>>>>Somehow the two do not tie in, mean earnings are a bit more direct as you have half making above the given figure and half below. The 26.22 per hour can be deceiving as one person can be making $26,220.00 per hour and divide that by a 1000 people who make zip you have $26.22
Is it relevant not really as the USA stock market is not local US but international world. What does that mean well diplomacy is very important when you cannot move to another planet. Also it is wise to get a degree in law prior to going into politics.
I suppose looking at this another way it could mean that consumption could be curtailed when we find that mean income figure. Now if that figure does not run very close to $20.00 we could have a bit of a fire sale on some products aka deflation. If that happens no raise the rates but decrease the value of US currency in world exchange which is not a good idea either.
