|Dear Don, on SI it has been my experience that lefty loons read purposely out of context crap from the NY times and then babble on about liars and conspiracy and slander honest Americans.|
So as to your posting the words of J. Simon with the insinuation of some EXON wrong doing on Climate Change AKA AGW CO2 delusions, I suggest your seem to fall into my experience set.
Now in that Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island is one of the most wacky lefty looney toons I expected I would find something like the following to define the context.
J. Stephen Simon, an Exxon Mobil Senior Vice President
Testifying before a Senate Judiciary Committee on May 21, 2008, Mr. Simon was pressed by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, who suggested that fringe views on climate change were being endorsed and espoused by oil companies. Mr. Simon responded: “In other words, that we are supporting junk science and trying to make people think that this is not an issue. I think all of us recognize it is an issue. It is how we deal with it – and I think we are dealing with it, and we are doing so in a responsible fashion.”
AGW alarm is 100% bovine excrement based upon all current science. Most people are two stupid or ignorant about science to have an informed opinion. But AGW is an exceptionly good test for identifying science illiterates or the emotionally disturbed or run of the mill lying con men.
have a nice day.
