GIG and earnings

I compared three stocks to gain some perspective on investing in startups: AMSC, GIG, and MVIS.
(Cross-posted to all three boards, because, how else should I do it?)

When good news isn't good enough.

Also, getting to listen to, "I told you so"; but after a few decades of investing in small companies, I'm used to that. (Besides, when it works, it works well - and frequently without commentary. Interesting.)

It is a long discussion which is why I post it to my blog.

The short version is, good news is measured against investor expectations, not management's assessment.
