Left Coast v. Right Coast: Harbaugh v. Harbaugh and Flacco v. Kaepernick

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh, right, and his brother, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, appear at a joint press conference and stand next to the Vince Lombardi trophy ahead of the NFL's Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, La. (Image: Jim Young/Reuters).

The Ravens are counting on quarterback Joe Flacco standing tall and delivering from the pocket while the 49ers will rely on the arm and legs of quarterback Colin Kaepernick in Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday in New Orleans. (Getty Images)

Joe played home games in his final 2 college seasons for the 'Fightin' Blue Hens' (scrawny chickens) 3 miles from here and he almost brought home a national championship so he qualifies as a lo'boy and favorite son of the city. His photo in blue and gold hangs on the wall of every sports bar in the city and a 30' poster of him has adorned the stadium where he played bal. Since then he's been chucking the ball for the Ravens 55 miles south. Ray Lewis is a personal fav of mine but so is Frank Gore.

May the Right Coast Win or at least go down fighting.

Should be a good game in the stadium where Pitt and Heisman Trophy winner Tony Dorsett won a national championship in '76 under Johnny Majors during my family's Pittsburgh years.
