GIS-General Mills -New buy today-Impulse purchase- over 3% yield for the wait. I've been following Nestles. Nestles lost out in a battle with General Mills for a stake in Yoplait. Past rumors have died down for now. Just maybe they might want the whole company. Could Ralcorp be looking for a white knight to shake off CAG once and forever? I'll take the safer play in GIS. IMO synergies are much better with GIS. Last I knew General Mills still had a 50–50 joint venture with Nestlé in the cereal division. GIS wouldn't exactly be a value or a big premium from current price, but General Mills is a Iconic brand. IMO Nestles still has a plenty of cash left over from the Alcon sale.
