Re Sun takeover: First, I think Southeast Management, which holds a 22 percent interest in Sun, is behind the shopping around that led to the purported acquisition. Sadly, it appears that actual, final takeover will be months from now, given antitrust scrutiny. While 9-10 dollars per share instant cash might be okay, given the situation, 9-10 per share delayed a year is not so good. However, Sun having shopped itself to IBM, it has burned the bridges behind itself, as its customer base must be extremely disenchanted over it all.
