Crossy, exactly the reason I got in to this stock too. Here's the way I see things progressing further.
With the growing base of Internet users, more and more people will look for alternatives for high speed net connections. Some will choose Cable via companies such as @Home and others will choose Mini Dishes such as Hughers and Direct T.V.
The industry will be fractured for many years, then slowly but surely, Satellite Mini Dishes will become the major access to the net.
Some of the industry trends shaping this today are....
1. Local phone companies reluctance to spend the infrastructure dollars to keep up with the high bandwidth requirements. 2. The poor service and Monopolistic attitude of many cable companies. 3. The sheer numbers of new people logging onto the net every day. 4. The lack of available infrastructure in so many foreign countries.
With the advent of Internet Commerce, videophones, nearly free voice phones, rich multimedia, and simple email, the draw of the net will become overwhelming for the millions of people who have never seen it.
Mini Dishes will continue to improve technologically and have the answers people will want. Super high speed access, choices galore, and plenty of bandwidth. In another two years the Mini Dish industry will be practically giving away the hardware to sign people up for Net and Television access. In the mean time, more and more people will get fed up with there local cable companies, and switch to Mini Dishes--providing USSB the necessary revenue to continue positioning itself for the future.
