U.S. Cellular to Deploy QuickLink Mobile Connection Manager Solution for All Wireless Modem Devices

ALISO VIEJO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smith Micro Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:SMSI), a leading developer and marketer of innovative software solutions and services for the wireless market, today announced that U.S. Cellular has selected QuickLink Mobile to power its connection manager solution, providing wireless network access to customers who use wireless PC modems. U.S. Cellular (AMEX:USM), headquartered in Chicago, IL, is one of the nation’s major wireless carriers serving over 6 million customers in 189 markets and in 26 states.

Utilizing QuickLink Mobile technology, U.S. Cellular will provide its customers with an intuitive, easy-to-use connection to its wireless network. The initial program launch in October will include U.S. Cellular’s customized version of the QuickLink Mobile connection manager in conjunction with KPC 650 and KPC 680 PC Cards from U.S. Cellular. Additionally, the application will be rolled out across future wireless modem devices from U.S. Cellular.
