National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives Passes Resolution Supporting the Use of Electronic Control Devices
Friday September 21, 7:30 am ET

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Sept. 21, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- TASER International, Inc. (NasdaqGS:TASR - News), a market leader in advanced electronic control devices, today announced that the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) has posted ``Resolution in Support of the Use of Electronic Control Devices (ECDs) and Less Lethal Devices by Law Enforcement Officers in Use of Force Situations'' on the organization's official website at noblenational.org. The resolution was adopted at the 31st NOBLE Annual Conference, on July 27, 2007, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
``TASER technology is redefining how law enforcement officials best protect the communities they serve,'' said Tom Smith, Chairman and co-founder of TASER International, Inc. ``We have always been dedicated to working with leadership organizations within the law enforcement community such as NOBLE to assure that we are doing everything we can to best serve those that are choosing TASER ECDs to protect life.''

``The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) supports the protection of the life of every law enforcement officer. We believe that electronic control devices such as TASER(r) devices have proven to reduce both injury and death to arrestees, as well as greatly increasing officer safety in situations where the use of force is necessary, stated Douglas DeLeaver, National President of NOBLE. ''We recognize that proper training and policies will instill the public's confidence in law enforcement's use of such weapon in order for these types of weapons to become standard issue for every officer performing a patrol or prisoner restraint function.``
