Infineon Technologies Buys Texas Instruments' DSL Customer Equipment Business
NEW YORK (AP) -- German chipmaker Infineon Technologies AG said Monday it bought Texas Instruments Inc.' digital subscriber line, or DSL, customer equipment business for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is expected to close this summer.
Infineon said it plans to continue supporting Texas Instruments' products and existing customer designs.
Shares of Infineon slipped 19 cents to $16.50 in afternoon trading, while Dallas-based chip maker Texas Instruments rose 4 cents to $37.15.
