OK, it's time to start getting ready for the 5th round. If you want to get posters from other boards to join, ask them to breeze the header and read this post.

Newbies - What we need from you is how you would allocate $100 among a portfolio of zero to five stocks. We need your portfolio picks before Monday's close of trading on April 2nd. You can buy stocks, stay in cash, and/or short one stock (w/share price at least $5). The max you can put into a stock long or short is half your capital when you buy/sell it.

Some sample starting $100 portfolios are as follows:
-----------
Portflio 1:
Buy $20 Stock A
Buy $30 Stock B
Buy $50 Stock C
-----------
Portfolio 2:
Buy $50 Stock A
Hold $50 Cash
-----------------
Portfolio 3:
Buy $20 Stock A
Buy $40 Stock B
Short $40 Stock C
---------------

Basically your long, cash and short position should add up to $100, and you will buy or short the stocks based on their closing price on Monday, April 2nd.

I'll post daily updates to see how we are progressing which look like this:

Whoever has the most money on August 3rd, 2007 is the winner. This is the 5th match. Previous winners were:

Match 1. Taro
Match 2. Peace
Match 3. Jatin Kadakia (also most consistent, having beaten the S&P three times in a row)
Match 4. Iktomi

If you have any questions, please ask away, someone will answer. Good luck!
